After a leisurely breakfast, your private Egyptologist will take you to Sakkara, part of the necropolis of Memphis. Here, you find the tombs of the oldest pharaohs, the first pyramids built in Egypt, the stepped pyramid of King Djoser, designed by Imhotep, the ancient Egyptian architect, and the Teti pyramid. Afterward, relax while we drive to the famous Giza Plateau with its attractions, the three pyramids, the great Cheops of Middle Chephren, and the smaller Mykerinos Pyramid. You get time for a camel ride and photos in front of the pyramids. Next, we visit the famous Sphinx, which you can admire after visiting the Valley Temple. Optionally, there is a tour on a boat, which has transported the mummy of the Pharaoh across the Nile. Back to the hotel, you spend another night in Cairo.

Your third day of this Christmas Nile Cruise Package starts with breakfast, followed by a day tour to the world-famous Egyptian Antiquities Museum, built in the neoclassical style of the French architect Marcel Dourgnon, covering a collection of over 150,000 masterpieces from the predynastic, Pharaonic, and Greco-Roman periods in Egypt. Here, you will see the sarcophagus, the treasures of the child King Tutankhamun, and other Pharaonic gods and goddesses. In addition, you can visit the mummy rooms in the Egyptian Museum, where you will learn all about Egyptian civilization and the art of mummification in ancient Egypt. Follow us to the Citadel of Saladin, from where you have an overlook above the city from the Muqattam Hills. Admire the Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque, which is very similar to the Blue Mosque in Turkey. It is considered one of the landmarks of Cairo. Continue the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo, including some of the city’s early religious monuments, such as the hanging or floating church, named after its location, and the famous Jewish heritage in Cairo, the Ben Ezra Synagogue. It contains a Jewish library, with documents found here in 1896. After this impressive Cairo tour, we will take you to Giza train station to board the sleeper compartment of the train to Aswan and spend the night aboard the train as we drive to Aswan.

After breakfast on the train, our guide will meet you at Aswan Station upon arrival. Here, we take you to the ship where your New Year’s cruise starts. Your lunch will be on board the cruise ship. Afterward, the free time is available to you until the afternoon. Then, we offer a trip with the felucca around Kitchener’s Island. Back to the ship, you will stay overnight in Aswan.

Enjoy breakfast on board the luxurious cruise ship, followed by a guided tour to the High Dam (Aswan Dam), the Temple of Philae, and the Unfinished Obelisk. Back to the cruise ship, go on to Kom Ombo. You will have lunch on board the ship. Once in Kom Ombo, visit the temples of the two gods, Sobek and Haeroris. Back on the ship, you will enjoy having the afternoon tea. Dinner will be on board. Relax with a quiet overnight stay on board in Edfu.

Have breakfast aboard the luxury Nile cruise, then have a guided tour of the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Later, you will go back to the cruise ship. Spend your free time on board the cruise, including lunch. Enjoy your afternoon tea on the sundeck while sailing to Luxor. On board in Luxor, you will celebrate the New Year with an exclusive GALA DINNER, followed by overnight.

In the evening, we serve you a spread dinner, followed by overnight in Luxor aboard the luxury Nile Cruise ship.

You will have breakfast on board the luxurious Nile Cruise ship in Luxor. We accompany you to the airport of Luxor for your flight to Cairo and direct transfer to the hotel where you will spend the night.
