Here, we offer you another travel package, the 8 days tour Egypt incl. Nile cruise, which gives you the opportunity to explore three of the most interesting cities in Egypt, Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan.
In Cairo our professional tour guide will guide you to Giza, the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx, the Valley Temple, Sakkara and of course Memphis.
On the Luxor-Aswan cruise, you drive on the most famous rivers of history, the Nile. You will visit (Karnak & Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Memnon Colossi, Kom Ombo Temple, Edfu Temple), the Aswan Dam and the Temple of Philae.
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo, Egypt
Our agent will pick you up outside Cairo’s Passport Control International Airport to process your Egyptian entry visa. Afterwards, you will be accompanied to a complimentary welcome drink in your hotel. Relax tonight or enjoy an optional evening of entertainment as you travel with us to the pyramids for the incredibly spectacular Sound and Light Show.
Day 2: Giza sightseeing tour
Early in the morning enjoy with your breakfast at the hotel, before our Egyptology guide will take you for a private tour to Sakkara, part of the massive necropolis of Memphis, to the burial site of the earliest pharaohs, where you will see the step pyramid of King Djoser.
Our next part of the tour will be the Giza Plateau: to visit the Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, before we continue to the mysterious Sphinx, with a view to the valley temple.
You get the option to visit the boat that transported the Pharaoh’s mummy across the Nile and then buried it at the foot of the pyramid for its journey to the afterlife.
We finished our day tour and take you back to your hotel for a relaxed overnight stay.
Day 3: Cairo – Aswan – Nile Cruise
Start the next day with your breakfast, before we transfer you to Cairo airport for your flight to Aswan, where our REP will accompany you to the luxury Nile cruise ship, where you spent the next 4 days from your holiday.
Upon check-in, you will be taken on an exciting tour to High Dam (the world-famous Aswan Dam) , a marvel of engineering when it was built in the 1960s before we continue to the granite quarries, where you still find the famous unfinished obelisk.
With a motorboat, we take you to Egilka Island to visit the majestic Philae Temple. For your relaxation, this afternoon is a felucca ride on the Nile in Aswan included.
Optional we offer you a final evening excursion to the sound and light show in the Temple of Philae or return for your remaining free time to your hotel in Aswan.
Day 4: Nile cruise
After you finished your breakfast, our tour guide will pick up you for the tour to Kom Ombo Temple, the crocodile-headed god of fertility and the creator of the world.
We will back on board for your lunch cruise ship and during we sail to Edfu, take your time to relax with the sun on the deck. After we arrived at Edfu we explore the Edfu Temple of Horus.
Afternoon tea is served on the sun terrace followed by dinner and overnight on board during we sail to Luxor.
Day 5: Nile cruise
Enjoy the breakfast on board the cruise ship before we head to the West Bank of the Nile where we visit the two Colossi of Memnon and the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent tombs were discovered.
We continue the tour to Hatshepsut Temple in El Dei El Bahary. Dedicated to the only female pharaoh, Queen Hatshepsut, this imposing temple rises from a series of terraces in the desert plain, merging with the steep limestone cliffs that surround it.
Back on the ship, we serve your lunch with, enjoy with the afternoon tea and relax with free time at leisure. Optional trip at night: escort us to the sound and light show in the temple of Karnak. Overnight stay will be on board of the cruise ship.
Day 6: Luxor – Flight to Cairo
Your Egyptian guide will take you after your breakfast to accompany you to visit the Karnak Temple, the largest cult place ever built. His old name Ipet-Isut means “the holiest place”. The temple, or more precisely, the temple complex, was built over several generations of pharaohs. Inside the complex is the huge “Hypo Style Hall”, an incredible number of giant pillars.
Before the last day of our Luxor trip ended, we visit the Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for rituals and festivals, afterward we transfer you to Luxor Airport for the flight to Cairo. There we take you with direct transfer to your hotel in Cairo, where you spend the rest of the evening and overnight stay.
Day 7: Cairo City Tour
Today we start the full-day tour with a visit to the world-famous Museum of Ancient Egypt, built in the neoclassical style of the French architect Marcel Dourgnon. Here you find the collection of more than 150,000 masterpieces from the pre-dynastic period, the Pharaonic period to the Roman era Egypt. Take a look at the grave goods of the pharaohs, including the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen.
Optionally, you can visit the mummy room in the Egyptian Museum. Here you will learn all about Egyptian civilization and the great art of mummification in ancient Egypt.
From the museum, we drive to the Citadel of Saladin, where the Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque was built inside. Here you will have a wonderful overlook of Cairo city.
Let’s go to the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo, such as the hanging church which is named after its location and until now works as the centre of the Christian churches of Egypt.
You will also visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of the famous Jewish heritages in Cairo. The synagogue contains a Jewish library containing documents found in 1896.
From there we take you to the hotel to spend your remaining free time and overnight in Cairo.Cairo.Cairo.
Day 8: Cairo / flight home
Enjoy with your breakfast at your hotel, and with the best wishes for your flight home, we will transfer you to Cairo airport.
